You name the place and Milt Smith probably put it there on his way to winning the Sub League 2 Outstanding Hitter Award for 1909.
The Upper Brookville third baseman belted out 142 hits in compiling a .285 batting average and racked up 18 doubles, 1 triple, 40 home runs, 103 RBIs and 89 runs scored.

 | Hermida Selected SL1's Best Hitter
Tuesday, September 28th, 1909: Jeremy Hermida of the Tulsa Black Flies had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 1909.
The 21-year-old right fielder put up a .327 average and a .414 on-base percentage, piling up 165 hits, 27 doubles, no triples, 27 home runs, 108 RBIs and 88 runs scored.

 | Best SL2 Hurler Chosen for 1909
Monday, September 27th, 1909: 24-year-old Steve Renko of the Garland Gemstones put together a good year in 1909 for such a young player. Renko was named today as the winner of the Sub League 2 Outstanding Pitcher Award.
Renko crafted an impressive 15-9 record and a 2.97 ERA. In 203 innings he allowed 156 hits, struck out 197, and walked 64.
