The 27-year-old right fielder put up a .299 average and a .411 on-base percentage, piling up 67 hits, 13 doubles, 2 triples, 15 home runs, 36 RBIs and 41 runs scored. |  | SL2's Best Pitcher is Brown Thursday, July 1st, 1909: The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 1909 has been presented and the Sub League 2 winner is Elmer Brown of Lakewood.
"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Brown. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Blue Claws star told reporters.
Brown excelled with an impressive 6-2 record in 14 starts. In 95.2 innings he yielded 63 hits and 20 walks, while striking out 67 and compiling a fine 1.41 ERA. | | | | |
